I know. Well perhaps someone should perform that experiment and try to prove us right.

What would this issue go under? Cognitive Science, sciology? Maybe I'll major in those just to perform that experiment...

haha that would be tight genesis....CC's first published experiment....

That would be really awesome. I'm not sure what it would go under. Perhaps sociology or something.

azns are inherently not as smart as asians

asians are inherently not as smart as Chinese

i am azn and Chinese but not asian... alot of ppl always sez they wish they were as smart and as cool as me

therefore, azns are inherently smarter than anyone except asians and Chinese...

DISCLAIMER this is a JOKE

Well **** you from Santa Monica...You must be ****ing cool...

i wonder wats under the stars

I don't really get what JinFX said...Yet I'm Asian? But not the kind with the slanty eyes. Darn...I love almond shaped eyes.

Anyway, I think it's pretty much obvious that Asians aren't inherently smarter than anyone else. It's just the upbringing. In Asian societies, it's so amazingly hard to get into colleges. For example, in India, kids work their whole lives starting from like age 10 to get into IIT, a really prestigious school. It's crazier than HYPSM...2% get in, and 0.5% to the most desired departments. Apparently it's the same in Japan...like 1% acceptance. And there aren't 10 elite schools in those countries--just 1 or 2 that people obsess over. So naturally, Asian parents come over to America and think the same about Ivy League Schools. They think that those are equivalent to the IITs. They also think that, just like in Asia, if you're not a math or science major, you won't succeed. It's hard to understand that over here, life and college priorities are a little different. So the Asian parents push their kids really hard, or at least ensure that they get really good educations. Sometimes it works...That's why we often hold up Asians as "smart." Sometimes it doesn't, of course. Not every Asian is OMG2400. So I guess Asians have an advantage that comes with their upbringing. But too often it seems like a disadvantage when you have to live it. Damn.

what r u talking about, living the azn life so the best

and acceptance rates for asian skool r not comparable to the US, cuz over there, if ur in, then u got it made... and u can only get in based on networking or test scores, the latter is predominately chinese and the former is predominately japan

lol...I guess...if you don't look horribly fobby and if you got into an Ivy that your parents aren't ashamed to inform relatives of...god. But yeah, sometimes I feel really grateful that I was born Asian/

Feel grateful for being born asian? Think again:

"An affirmative action study by Princeton researchers in 2005 attempted to break down and compare the effects of the practice among racial and special groups. The data from the study represent admissions disadvantage and advantage in terms of SAT points (on 1600-point scale):

* Blacks: +230
* Hispanics: +185
* Asians: −50
* Recruited athletes: +200
* Legacies (children of alumni): +160"

-50 pts... ( an asian can never truly get a perfect 2400, 2350 is the limit) (This is also what I mean how Jews get all advantages...)

DAMN that sucks yo! What if you're an Asian female who's really strong in the humanities and wants to do government? Is there hope!!!! Oh NO!!!

^ is that sarcasm? Because that's what I'm contemplating.

"It's crazier than HYPSM...2% get in"

India's population is A LOT....so 2% is probably equal to a 10% here.

depends on how strict your parents are

Lol, us jews get all th advantages

the high scores of asians, yet less competition than the asians

and most of us are fairly well endowed also

man, theres a difference b/w asian and azn

asian is like model minority asian american

azn is immigrant/import culture

completely different, thats y i'm not asian, i'm azn

and
************************************************************************************************************ Jews

Many asian people in America right now are first generation. They are highly motivated and had to have money to get over here. Generally their parents are going to try hard to not have them fail.
