Title says it all.

I don’t think so for most D1 BCS conference teams. Like I can tell you that season tickets for Georgia Tech are $36 (usually 7 games and I had to look that up for the exact price by the way).

Iirc, I think I’ve heard that UConn season tickets for students are like $40 and you get a free t-shirt. So relatively cheap, but not free.

bumpbumpbump

Streetlight’s right.

It depends on the school. I’ve visited some schools where all athletic events are free, and others where students must by tickets by the game. I don’t think that tickets are prohibitively expensive at any colleges though.

if it’s a good football team? no.

Depends. According to one of my friends, Penn State football season tickets are over $200.

But that’s probably on the high-end of the scale since football is such a big deal over there.

^ They actually have a lottery, so you have to win the right to pay that haha

If it’s free, it means that the price has been hidden in your tuition/fees. So it’s not free.

At UCLA it used to be $69 for football, $119 for football + half season basketball (if you won a lottery) and $169 for football + full basketball (if you were incredibly lucky). This coming year they changed to $99 for basketball/football full season tickets (first come first serve, no refunds). All other sports are free.

lol I can go to Division I hockey for $5!!! So excited!!! omgggggg get the defibrillator

^lol, I’d rather get a $5 footlong than watch hockey

^^ Where do you go? (No creep, I’m a hockey fan)

lol Brown 2014. Their team is terrible compared to Maine, but whatevs haha. I just hope we can beat at least one Ivy League team

For my older brother, the games were free (I think).

He was in the Corp of Cadets, and had to be there anyways :P

^^ Well it won’t be mine, haha.

(Rough 'em up, **** 'em up, GO BIG RED)

ETA: Seriously though, Brown didn’t have a horrible year. They finished strong.

Yeah, University of Maryland’s Sports were free for students. My dad and I asked one of the students there while playing b-ball.

^^ lol no, I don’t see Brown beating Cornell :/

although, the Leafs did get their goaltender from last year 8]

Are you a Flyers or Penguins fan, or do you root for an out of market team?

If you get a chance to come see a game in Ithaca, I highly recommend it. They’re so much fun (although maybe not so much if you’re from Brown)

Flyers (I’m from the Philly half of the state). I especially can’t stand the Pens now because it seems like half the state of Pennsylvania jumped on the bandwagon.

haha you have no idea how crushed all of the hockey fans here were when Boston choked like that

lol I almost went to Colgate, and that would have been a huge rivalry. I’ve been to a few games in Orono and they are absolutely insane, so I can only imagine how Cornell would be

Alright, I have to admit, I wrote them off. I did not think they would be able to come back from 3-0, especially when Boucher went down. All I can say is it was a team of destiny.

Yeah, Colgate is actually one of my top choices too (even though I’ve been raised to go to Cornell). My family went to see a Cornell game at Colgate this year and the away section was much rowdier than all of Colgate’s student section. Cornell won like 7-2 I think, so maybe that was part of the reason why :P
