Are colleges more impressed by a high score in a SAT II w/ lower mean score?

<p>I mean, Person A gets 790 for World History whereas Person B gets 790 for US History. Is the 790 World History at least a bit more impressive since World Hist has a lower mean score?</p>

<p>But seriously, once your SAT II’s are at a certain level, and you feel that they are truly indicative of your abilities, then I say forget about them and move on to bettering other parts of your application (GPA, EC’s, essays, etc.). Adcoms aren’t more likely to admit the 790 WH because of the reasons you stated… if they reject one or the other (or even both), they probably did so due to something else.</p>
