Are Junior Year EC's ok?

I am currently a sophomore in high school and I am in my school’s Mock Trial Team as an attorney.

I would like to major in CompSci and am trying to start a CS club in my school but that will most likely start in my junior year(since I will be the founder, I will also be the president)

Will colleges look at junior year EC’s weirdly or not take them into consideration even if I have a leadership position.

Thanks in advance

Activities in your Junior year in high school certainly are considered in college admissions.

Just joining a club as a member Junior year might not be given much weight, as it looks like resume padding. But founding/leadership roles are quite meaningful.

Thank you for the response, I will try to start the club as soon as possible
