Are materials sent past the due date even looked at?

Hello,

I'm an overall good student with a bit of an awkward issue. My GPA used to be 3.8 and my ACT score was 35. I had a medical illness this last semester which caused me to miss a bunch of school and my gpa dropped significantly. I have had the opportunity to remake those grades and have done so, but I don't think my transcript will be updated in time for January 1st deadlines. Do you think colleges would understand this situation and accept an updated transcript if I sent it in by the second week of January?

Absolutely! Email or call the admissions people to briefly explain or have your guidance counselor explain the issue. Then have your school sent in your updated official transcript. They will not hold it against you.

That you so much! This has had me tossing and turning so much recently.

Just a quick tip. Because of the holidays and flooding in of application most of not all schools are only answering emails (but don’t worry most respond within 24 hours). I just didn’t want you to get too discouraged trying to call!

Good Luck!
