District transcripts inaccurate, deadline passed!

So I turned in my application items on time and such.

But the district office recently admitted (after complaints from teachers and parents) that the ranks/gpas on our transcripts AND in the counselors' packets are inaccurate and out of date.

They are going to try and update the transcripts before the end of the semester, which is before the January 31st (UTexas) updated transcript submission deadline. But if not, I'l have to stick with the rank and GPA my counselor sent (I faxed a page she typed stating a more recent, but still not accurate, rank and GPA than the one on my transcript) until admission decisions are made. And since I'm not top 8%, any GPA/rank improvements will help to strengthen my application.

Would the universities that don't decide until next semester disregard my current GPA and only pay attention to the next one? I haven't seen my transcript, only my incorrect rank, so I don't know the extent of the errors on it.

You need to get a copy of your transcript right now so that you can sit down with any records of your own and see just how inaccurate your transcript is. It might be fine.

If your transcript is messed up, have your counselor send a letter to each of the colleges/universities that you have applied to explaining the situation. Then send out the corrected transcript as soon as it becomes available.
