Are my ACT/SAT Scores good enough?

Right now my highest ACT is a 32 with a 33 superscore (even though only some schools superscore the ACT). My SAT is a a 1420 out of 1600. I would like these scores to be higher but I’m running out of time to take more tests so I may have to just accept them. Schools I am interested in are Colgate, Boston College, Brown, and Cornell.

Are these scores high enough for these schools? Or should I aim for higher? I would have to retake the ACT or SAT in either September or October. I’m a straight A honors/AP student with a 4.2 gpa. Should I even bother applying to the ivies that I listed?

I think increasing your ACT 2 points to a 34 would definitely make a difference for Cornell and Brown if you have the time to retake them. I don’t know how many times you’ve taken it, but you’re probably more than capable. Often times it comes down to just 3 or 4 questions.

If you manage to do that, then I would forget about SAT as it is much lower than your ACT. A 33 ACT would match up with around a 1500 SAT.

Good luck!
