<p>I thought my EC's sucked! The only things i have going for me is art and strangely I'm not even gonna pursue that. Thanks (: How were your essays like.... were they uniquely strange to catch attention?</p>
<p>What they're usually looking for in personal statements are things not in your application. Like for instance, let's say your grades went down your sophomore year, you may be able to talk about the circumstances that lead to it. Then you should be able to demonstrate that the years after you were able to recover from it. </p>
<p>Another instance may be that even though you have a high GPA, maybe you're able to attain it but with certain circumstances you have to deal with. That will show them your ability to excel in the midst of challenging times.</p>
