Hey guys,

Im a senior who just finished applying to the UCs and I think I had a pretty decent application. Ive taken a pretty heavy load every semester and studied from 10th grade on as a full-time community college student. My GPA is currently about 3.9. I have a 2130 on my SATs, subject tests are 650 in lit and 730 in math. I have plenty of ECs, awards, and all that stuff colleges look for
Except Im failing biology this semester. I have a D as of now and it seems unlikely that Ill be able to bring it up. The professor enjoys failing students, and my pride wouldn't let me drop the course. In retrospect, that was silly. My GPA will drop to about a 3.75, assuming I get As in the rest of my classes. My question is, should I bother still applying to the Private schools like Cornel, Stanford, or Princeton? Will that D destroy my chances of getting into the more selective schools, or is it still worth a shot?
