Are my SAT scores good enough?

Hi all :) Finally sold my soul and made an account- haha. I'm a newbie here on the forums so I'm not quite sure if this is the correct place to post this.
So my question is if my superscored SAT score will be good enough to be at least considered/ be taken notice of in the realm of the top ranked schools (such as the Ivy League).
My superscore is a total of 2240.
Reading-790
Math-700
Writing-750

I've sat for two tests. The first sitting was a 2150 - 790/660/700 and the second was a 2170- 720/700/750.
Please also let me know of any top schools that do not superscore.
Thanks in advance for the advice.

nop, u wont get in… lol jk… 2240 will get u to cornell

Mine were:

640 - M
610 - V
620 - W

And I got into Swarthmore, Amherst, Williams, and Wesleyan :). I knew I sucked at SATs so I focused more on other aspects that colleges like.

congrats ctabs! that’s awesome  i had a 1940 composite (superscored too!!! i suck!! i know!! haha) and i got into Northwestern this year RD. that’s because my GPA was high and the other parts of my app were also strong.

OP, you’ll be fine with that superscore. make sure the other parts of your app are strong too! some people who get 2300+ on the SAT slack off on other components like essays, and they wonder why they get rejected. everything’s important, but the SAT is only a part of the application, not the absolute main thing.

Thanks for the advice. Any chance of acceptance to an Ivy with these scores?
Ctabs Congrats! Those are amazing schools. Were you a legacy at any of them?

I think any ivy other than Cornell is unlikely, but that score will be fantastic at any top 25 school that superscores.

read this abstact and the conclusion it makes about SAT Scores. more specifically go to the graph on pg 8

you see that acceptance rates to top ivy league schools increase once you get into the 99th percentile or above so if you could prep and retake and get a 2300 that would be great.
