Are Teacher's evaluation and letter of rec two separate things, or they're the same?

<p>I was looking up in some college's 'admission' web page and most required me to submit 2 teacher's recommendation letter.
So is this 'recommendation letter' basically the same thing as the 'teacher's evaluation form' of the common app? Or is it a separate thing that I should send/mail the letter(s) to the admission office directly?</p>

<p>They are the same thing. You invite your teachers on the common app site, they get an email telling them you have invited them, they can then recommend you online or on paper. Either way they will use the teacher eval form for the recommendation. If they want to write a rec in a different format like on a separate letter, they can do that, but they should submit it along with the teacher eval form.</p>
