Are the subject test choices that I choose important for UCLA?

According to UCLA's website..
" Applicants to the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science are strongly encouraged to take the following SAT Subject Tests: Math Level 2 and a science test (Biology E/M, Chemistry, or Physics) that is closely related to the applicant's intended major."

I want to major in chemical engineering hopefully, but I really do not feel ready for a chemistry subject test by June because I dont feel as if my current honors chemistry level course is deep enough. I would be much more comfortable taking the US history exam (acing the my APUSH tests currently), but I feel like this would hurt my chances of getting into UCLA? I feel like a 800 is definitely possible on the US Subject test, whereas I would be lucky to get a 700 in chemistry..

Btw, my other sat 2 would be math 2 (im in bc calc right now) and im a junior...

Check out the new requirements - the UC system is getting rid of the SAT II requirements. I do not know how this affects the School of Engineering, but if they say they want you to take a science, you should take a science. Get a good prep book and get ready.
