Can you refer any university which will grant me enough aid so that my needs are met with???

N.B.:- Special interest in purdue,uius and umich…

Do help guys and give me your suggestion.!!!

none of the colleges you mentioned provide aid to internationals based on need. Why do you ONLY want to go to the top 10? There are many excellent, prestigious colleges in the US that might not be in the top 10. However, to have a good shot at the ivies, mit and stanford, you will need to raise your SAT 1 score by at least a 100 points. May be improve your SAT II MATH II C score (intl are expected to have high math score especially people from your ethnicity). You also need to expand on your "Decent Ec's and leader ship achievements" so that we might help you better. All this combined with top notch essays and you might have a good shot at those colleges in this life!

Wow... it took me a while to realize that with "top 10" you meant the top 10 universities for undergraduate engineering, not the overall top 10 universities (Harvard, Princeton, Yale etc) which do give plenty of financial aid to internationals.

Sadly, the way that the college application process works for most international students with financial need is the reverse of what you are trying to do: they start by making a list of universities they could afford (including financial aid) and then pick from those. It would be nice if we could pick the universities we are interested in and then explore financing options, but unfortunately the only real source of financial aid from the States is institutional aid. The other alternative is a loan from your home country, but whether that amount of debt is worth it is your decision.

i know that the universities don't offer aid or scholarships to internationals but i have heard that there are some alumni or company scholarships that are made available to international student.I know of a guy from our school who is in purdue on such sacholarships. But the sad part is that i cannot contact him.Do you guys have any idea about it???

Company scholarships are typically awarded by a company you or your parents have worked for; you should be the person to find out whether or not there are some scholarships you are eligible for.

Universities are usually very explicit about whether or not they have merit scholarships for incoming students. Purdue does have merit scholarships, and those might have been what your friend received: Purdue University Division of Financial Aid If you cannot find information about scholarships at the website of a university or you want more specific information than the website provides (e.g. specific scholarship amounts), you should contact the university directly.

If your international friend has received an alumni scholarship, it was likely one of the alumni scholarships mentioned on the website. The FAFSA is listed as a pre-requisite for alumni scholarships in general because they want their scholarship recipients to have financial need, but clearly the FAFSA is not a way to measure the financial need of international students. If you are interested in applying/attending, I would encourage you to contact the Purdue and ask about whether or not international students are eligible for any of these scholarships.
