are there a lot of fights in college?

high school had some memorable ones...

I don't believe I've ever actually seen a fight at my college. Apparently we had two guys mud-wrestling at a school carnival-thing last night, though.

Do you mean like REAL fights, or just playful stuff or competitive fighting like boxing, wrestling, and karate?

... or do you mean Mean Girls-style girl drama?

Or tickle fights?

Or verbal fights?

real fights...where people gather around to watch lol

there was one at my school last spring. it was between two senior girls and guys. it occurred in the cafeteria and one of the girls stayed behind and the other girl just walked away afterward. there was some sort of bad history there tho between those two groups. and they ran into each other in the cafeteria and the gloves went down. what was pathetic was that one of the guys got involved in helping the other girl pin the other girl down. security came within 10 minutes.

not sure if they graduated. it was very stupid because it was less than a month before classes ended. as you can imagine at most schools there's a zero tolerance policy for fights.

according to my managers who were with me, that was the first fight they had seen in about 5+ yrs. the other one they saw occurred in an office between two students, but the managers did not report it to security.

Fights happen at bars pretty often. Not like every night, and some bars have a clientele more prone to throwing fists, but they do happen.

I've seen a couple fights during intramural games too, but there's generally no crowd to stand around and watch.

nope, i have not seen one at my college. i think that fights are more prone in HS because of all the drama that takes place.

A guy at my college got stabbed in the heart at a party because some uninvited people were asked to leave. I wouldn't exactly call that exhilarating, and it's not something to look forward to.

Mostly people will get in fights at parties or bars when they are drunk and stuff. I saw some guys in a NPHC (historically black) fraternity get in a fight on campus one time during a barbeque. I've never seen anyone pull out a weapon or anything, usually it's some drunk guy hitting on another drunk guy's girlfriend or something.

Some bigger parties have fights and some bars are rough, but I've never seen or heard of a fight between two sober people happening in public while I've been in college.

I've never seen a fight at my college although I've heard of fights at off campus partys.

I've been at UW-Madison for 2 months, and I've already witnessed two fights.

The first one was between two senior guys, and they were ripping each other's clothes off at the bus stop after a football game. No one was really gathering around though.

The second one, which was much more memorable (this is apparently streaming YouTube), was between about 15 or 20 African American Girls that would be stereotyped as "ghetto." They were in this huge pack during passing time, and all of a sudden the whole area went silent, and someone whistled with their fingers, and all of those girls started screaming at each other and pushing one another. Some of them lost their hair, and some lost their hearing because their yelling was so loud.
Probably 2000 people gathered around for this one. It was quite a show.

So yeah, there are. But they're not as advertised as in high school. Most people are way more mature than that.

what school do you go to just get recked everynight, bang broads, and do as lil schoolwork as possible

It's called the University of Phoenix Online, you do it for 10 minutes a day, 3 days a week and party the rest of the time and "bang broads." Forty years later...presto! One BA or (would that be) BS diploma in the mail...or maybe you print it out on the comp?

Thanks for all your help .. too bad i got my own business that gets me 5000 a week at the least ... i am only going to school to have a good time and get a diploma .. but thanks for all your help you really steered me in the right direction ..

congrats. well if it's that diploma you want, why not UPO. It's not like school will do anything for ya...and if it's 5K you are making a week, I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding college chicks to hook up with every day of the week

oh and note that I didn't even pretend to know or care anything about your financial situation in my post, you could be the next warren buffett for all I care
