Are there any good scholarships in Florida?

I am currently living in Georgia, but I have the possibility to move to Florida. I will almost definitely qualify for Zell Miller if I stay (I am a Sophomore). I was probably going to go to GA State with Zell Miller and hopefully pay very little (atleast have full tuition paid) and maybe even nothing if I get really lucky, but I was wondering if going to Florida would be bad in regards to scholarships. My parents are basically leaving it up to me if we go or stay since they aren’t really the ones who are on top of my future plans (as in they don’t go around all day looking for scholarships/visiting colleges to see if they like it, ect. not that they are bad parents they just trust me with that responsibility) and don’t really want to mess up my scholarship chances. I was curious if Florida had any scholarships like Zell Miller that would pay for full tuition to a public school. I would be starting Junior year in Florida if we decide to go, otherwise we will stay in Georgia, so I think I will be considered a Flordia resident by the time I am enrolling for college (right?).

Stats…
GPA- 4.375
Rank- 1/583
SAT- Just assume +2100 (Brothers made 2300’s they will help me out/ hire a private tutor)

Thanks

Anybody? Please?

come on guys…

Not sure if you would be considered a resident, and it’s definitely not a full tuition scholarship, but there is the Bright Futures scholarship that you qualify for if you have a certain GPA, test scores and community service hours. There is one that is worth $100 per credit hour, and another worth $75 per credit hour with easier requirements. Definitely not going to be full-tuition but that’s the closest we get to Georgia scholarships. Oh and it can only be used at Florida public schools.

Florida has Bright Futures, but the amount actually received keeps going down. With your stats, you can probably receive scholarships from most Florida colleges. Maybe not UF because they get so many top students, but schools such as USF and UCF.

thanks for both replies… so I am assuming it would be in my best interest to stay in Georgia and get Zell Miller.

If I decide to go for the “Automatic Full Ride” (whatever it is) schools I saw on that huge thread, would it matter? For example if I meet the requirements for Troy, who I think was on that list, would it matter? Depending on how much I would be paying at Georgia state, I may be going to one of these schools (assuming I don’t fack up anywhere)
