Are there consequences to appealing? (UT CAP)

I got CAP'd from the University of Texas in Austin and I believe I definitely should've gotten in. 2180 superscore SAT, top 15%, good extracurriculars (and I have more to add), had my essays reviewed by multiple teachers and had stellar reviews. If I were to appeal, I would make sure to get an amazing recommendation, add in additional extracurriculars that came by more recently, and improve my application overall.

If I were to appeal though, could they take away my CAP? Doing Computer Science at UT Austin is really what I want to do, and if CAP is the only way, I would take it. (By the way, has anyone done CAP and know what it's like, just in case?)

No punishment guaranteed

Guaranteed? So there could be?

My circumstances were:
Parents divorced, moving into a new home, stay a mental hospital, medication for anxiety and depression along with counselling, diagnosed with ADD

Do those look good for an appeal?
