Here's my beef with housing in the doubles for Units - you could replace two separate beds with a bunk, and save a hell of a lot of space...is this ever done?

Yes, some people choose to bunk, and that does mean you can have extra room (I know someone who bought a sofa and stuck it under their bunk)

You have to make a request at the beginning of the year, I guess, and I think there's an extra fee involved

lol. it's just funny that you have beef with the unit doubles. Lots of people would kill for a double in units right now.

Well, I'm in FPF, and usually FPF students will get crammed into triples, but since I decided to choose my roomate with the housing app (who's a fall student), my chances might be a little better.

^^^So you think. This year also meant that continuing freshmen students took up their second year offerings in the dorms, which means less space for others.

Sure, but a a lot of returning students filled the mini suites, and only a quarter of any floor or something like that in the high rises could be with returning students. I know fpf people who were in doubles and mini suites.

But yes, the fee is $50 I think to bunk the beds, and they have limited materials, so request early.
