I’m a senior in Florida coming from a school that doesn’t send too many kids off to college. I was thinking about this earlier when I realized a handful of graduates from schools not much better than mine were off at UF (the top school in florida). I was wondering if state schools like UF, or FSU have to admit students from every high school in Florida? If they do is there a cut off point or a minimum? I ask about the cut off because I have friends at a magnet school nearby that are in the IB curriculum and they’re genuinely worried about not getting into UF. The school they go to sends kids off to harvard, mit, stanford like on the regular. Their stats are really good too, so are they worried about some kind of quota state schools like UF have to meet? I really appreciate any input I’ve had this question for a while now
