are these good enough?

I took the subject tests and here are my results:

800 Math II
760 Chemistry

Obviously the Math II is pretty good, but I think I could score a bit higher on the Chemistry. My practice test ranged 760-800, so I know I am capable of a little higher.

Also, after reviewing the thread on here I realized (shortly after taking the test) that I made 3 or 4 careless mistakes.

My point is, if I'm confident I can get 780-800 is it worth retaking? Do colleges (HYPSMC) really care? It wouldn't require much work. Also, I'm going to take the SATII Physics, so I'll already be there. Also, money isn't that big of a factor.

Then just take it. If the score ends up bad, then just don’t send it.

I’ll probably end up taking it.

Does Harvard view an 800 vs 760 Chemistry any differently?

well, 800 is better than 760 of course, but i don’t think that would end up being the reason they reject or accept you. everyone who applies to harvard has awesome scores so they really can’t base who they accept solely on those tests.

what i’m saying is, i don’t think it will make a huge difference, but it doesn’t hurt to try. just work on your essays

If you’re already signed up for it, go for it. If not, I really don’t think it would be the difference between being accepted or not accepted. Admitted applicants to those selective schools obviously always have strong stats, but I doubt that most of them have two perfect scores.

You are not getting into Harvard you heartless robot. Give up.

You have some serious self confidence issues.

-and fyi my sister goes to harvard (and I go to roxbury)
