Hey everyone, so Sophomore year I took AP European History. I got a C+ first semester, and an A+ second. I also got a 5 on the AP Test. I know that C is really killing my chances, but I had a tough semester due to family issues, and just personal problems, but I got over it second sem and got an A+ plus a 5. I have great ECs, great everything else, but this is the only C I got in high school, the rest are ALL A's. Does think I can still get into Berkeley, or maybe even UC Davis?

And i’ve taken 8 APs and have gotten 4s and 5s on the AP tests, as well as As both semesters.

BUMP please

those are good grades on your ap test, could you list your extra curriculars. Also do you have your class rank, for Berkely you probably want to be under 75-100, under 50-60 preferable.

What does 75-100 and 50-60 mean? @FutureIvyboy

If the rest of your grades are “A’s,” it is definitely possible to be accepted by UC Davis, even with one “C.” However, that “C” could hurt your chances for UC Berkeley. UC Berkeley is not totally impossible for you, just not very likely.

wow thats an impressive list of EC’s. by 75-100/50-60 i meant how you rank compared to the rest of your class. So iff you have 500 kids in you senior grade level, you are ranked 50(In gpa) out of 500 kids, it should be on your transcript.
You have such an impressive amount of EC’s i would also recommend looking at even more/better colleges.

Thanks @FutureIvyboy

Bump

That is a very impressive list of ECs and your grades seem to be phenomal. Even though Berkeley is one of those really selective schools, I feel like you should get in. You’re definitely involved and show dedication to a lot of stuff. I’m assuming you’re going for CS, and all I see on there related to that is App Club, which is still pretty impressive.

I would like to say you’ll get in 100%, but your chances are as good as anybody else’s. They could probably find very little details to not let you in.

BUMPITY BUMP BUMP…
