Yes.
If you have those stats and are willing to attend LSU because it’s way better than what you could find in your country/can escape a difficult situation at home thanks to it, yes those are open to you.
What country are you from?

Only in limited circumstances, it seems.

If you’re ever unsure whether you’re eligible for a particular scholarship program, don’t hesitate to email the admissions office and ask!

@MYOS1634 why do you say that? Is LSU bad?

It’s not “bad” – but it’s not a well known, highly ranked school – and it still costs a great deal of money. Many people would think it’s a questionable investment for anyone who has cheaper options either in their own country or in Europe, Australia, etc.

Would you say that LSU is worth around $54k in debt? While tuition is free in my country the living costs are sky high and I would end up with about the same amount of debt in my country. I have the stats for the “Flagship scholars award”. How are internship possibilities? Is the school known nationwide?
Intended major: Computer science.

If i were to go to school in my country i would either attend KTH or Chalmers.

What would be the costs at each?
LSU is in a small town that’s not especially cosmopolitan. Could you go there for a year, and still keep your place at Chalmers?

@MYOS1634 Chalmers would be a tad bit cheaper than KTH as it is located in Gothenburg but it is still very expensive. Its hard to calculate the costs but i guess that to attend Chalmers it would require me to take on a debt of around $41k and KTH maybe $49k. Its very normal that Swedish students take on this amount of debt because the terms of the student loan is very good.

I dont know if i could do that, i will have to look that up.

And by the way, are international students really eligible for the Flagship scholars award? I read on the website that international students are considered traditional freshman if they have attended a US high school. I emailed LSU and asked if i would be eligible for it as an international. This is what they told me:

Thank you for your interest in LSU!

Louisiana State University offers a variety of scholarship programs that vary based on whether you are an entering freshman or a continuing LSU student. Unfortunately, the University does not currently offer scholarship programs specifically for international students. An international entering freshman can be considered for our University based merit scholarships if the student is a non US citizen that has attended a US High School or American school in another country AND has submitted either an official ACT or SAT score to LSU. International entering freshman meeting these specific guidelines should refer to our entering freshman scholarships and guidelines for additional details at www.lsu.edu/scholarships
