Are these stats good for top prep schools?

Hi everyone,

I am a current freshman attending the best public school in the state of New Hampshire. I have straight A’s and A+'s and in 8th grade I had 7 A’s and A+'s and I had a B in Spanish. For my EC’s I play tennis am a member of Model United Nations, and Science Olympiad. I also volunteer at Kumon and for two start-up companies. One of them is based around education. I am applying to Phillips Exeter and other top schools for the 10 grade. What are my chances of getting in?

My 9 grade courses are:

Physical Science Honors - A-
PreCalculus - A
Humanities 1 - A
Spanish 2* - A+
Intro to Business - A+
Gym - A+
Ceramics - A+

My 8 grade courses are:

American History - A
Algebra 2 - B+
Geometry - A
English - A
Spanish 2 - B-
Computer Engineering - A
Aviation - A+

What are my chances of getting in? I haven’t taken the SSAT yet… but last year I got in the 90 percentile. This year I want to get around 95% - 99%.

*I couldn’t take Spanish 3. All freshman have to do Spanish 2 again. I am pretty good a tennis. I want to Phillips Exeter’s Model UN and had the only draft resolution that got passed. I also did a program called Science Bowl in 8th grade. I came 3rd in the nation for it.

Thank you for all your replies!

@kellog I believe you have wondefull grades and cources which will help you but i don’t believe we one can really tell your chance for applying unless you take the test.

I think you have a wonderful chance. If you’re focused on the prep school path I would make sure that you visit, and apply to a few schools slightly outside of your area, as it may increase your chances of attending prep school. Schools like Exeter will only except a limited number of NH students, as they are looking for geographic diversity. You might have a disadvantage living in NH. There are many great schools that you might want to consider…Just to toss out a few suggestions…Hotchkiss, Deerfield, Taft, Saint George’s…
Good Luck!
