Are they handing out denials?

I havent seen anyone get denied... Is michigan only rolling out acceptances, or are they just handing out decisions as they make em?

haha....acceptances/deferrals/waitlists...don't know anyone who has been rejected in three years, but that's just me...out here in oos land......

Im outta state too... Wait... they defer people from regular decision? That doesnt make sense....

Im curious because I havent gotten my decision yet, and Im wondering if thats because they are only telling people who got in (ie, rolling acceptance, not rolling admission)

sorry, no they don't defer from RD, just waitlist....and they waitlist AFTER deferral from ER...don't know anyone who has ever really gotten a real rejection letter.....

thats the thing with michigan. Nobody is ever rejected, just waitlisted/deferred for life.

So the purpose of this thread wasnt to figure out whether or not Michigan actually denies people (sorry if I phrased it badly).

What I wanted to know is whether or not people will get ROLLING waitlisted/deffered/whatever that isnt an acceptance. As in... If they are taking forever to review your application, does it usually mean that you wont be accepted? (do they wait till later to send out waitlisted/deffered statuses)

oh they usually roll with the decisions. But of course, some decisions are easier to make then others (like borderline students). If they are taking longer with your application than most people, it probably means they are reviewing your application more thoroughly. I know a lot of people that were deferred or waitlisted as of now, but they will give you an answer once they decide.
