Are UC University Grants Renewable?

Today I received my financial aid package from UC Riverside and was over the moon because it looks like it will be affordable for me. However, a large part of my tuition and room & board are being covered by a university grant (aside from the regents scholarship). Assuming my efc doesn’t change and I maintain good academic standing, is it safe to assume I will receive the same amount of grant aid next year? Will grant aid cover a part of housing after I have to move into on campus apartments junior year? My councelor at school couldn’t answer my questions and the process is a bit confusing to me so I really appreciate the help. I want to make sure it is affordable before I start jumping for joy!

Yes, it is safe. You should expect approx the same package each year depending on the COA. See the website for the COA for various options of rooming, apartments, living off campus will also get you grants for housing and food costs.

Thank you! I did run the npc which shows a far lower grant amount than I actually received so I was worried it would be reduced after the first year. I’m excited to be a highlander now!
