I'm filling out my application for summer financial aid. I'll be in one of the university apartments. Do I mark off-campus or on-campus? I obviously realize that the actual apartments are off-campus. But does the fact that they are owned by the university make them technically on-campus?

University apartments are considered off campus housing for financial aid purposes. They are in general cheaper than on campus housing ( residence halls/plazas) so that means your financial aid will be adjusted accordingly(if you apply for financial aid).

if you apply for off-campus housing, then why dont you try to rent private apartment in Westwood or Brentwood? Because the apartment I rent in Brentwood is much cheaper and only 15 minutes to school by bus.
