I hear a lot about the terrible curve in the bio classes with 300 students. I was wondering if the bio classes during summer session are any easier or less harsh on grading with only 20 students enrolled in Bio 120aL.

Well, considering summer session classes are compacted into a very short time, they’re really not “easier.” It’s a bigger time commitment and you blaze through the material faster than you would taking the class over the course of a full semester. The GE I took over a summer session was insanely difficult only because we digested a large amount of information in a very short amount of time. It required double the work a GE in the fall or spring would.

Oh I see, was there still a curve?

Most GEs aren’t on a curve. I wasn’t pre med so I can’t speak to those classes; I just took GEs and a few classes for my major in the summer sessions.
