Are we allowed to call to find out our decision?

Can we call them that day for our status? Or is there some place online where you can check - I know a lot of schools do. I don't want to wait until evening =(

And I'm just as nervous as you guys. Good luck to all my fellow ED'ers.

u seriously cant wait 8 hours?? You need to seriously calm down.. If you are overreacting and worrying this much about 1 college admission, imagine how you will do in college when even more pressure is on you. students may be smart in high school, get great SAT's and gpa, but when they enter college it is a slap in the face. You now have to deal with academics, more social problems, more financial problems, and all the while away from home.

And, 8ball - no reason to be rude.

sorry laxfan, didnt mean to be rude at all... I was just trying to say that students should not worry so much about the admissions... especially if the anxiety is ruining their grades... Senior year grades are very important factors and are not to be overlooked.

I don't think anyone said anything about the anxiety ruining their grades

It would probably be a good idea to end this conversation. The OP's question was answered, and that's all that matters.

laxfan, by ANY chance, would you know if snail mail could get to california by monday? is that wishful thinking...?

I'm pretty sure it takes about 4 days for snail mail to get to California. I'd say you can count on it to arrive on Tuesday, since Sunday's out.

i am oh so very tempted to just check email. but then i think it'll be anti-climactic..and...too...ugh, untraditional, in a way?

Sorry, I have no idea how long it takes for the mail to arrive to different locations. And as of right now, no decision has been made on what the subject lines of the email will be.
