Are we allowed to use our created programs(in graphing calc.) in the AP Calculus BC exam?

I've checked the AP calculator policy on this. It says that you are allowed to bring programmable calculators on the exam but you are not allowed to take information out of the exam. So does that mean you can use the programs you have made in the calculator to solve the questions? And some calculators like N-spire CX CAS allow you to take notes and save them. SO are you allowed to access those?
Thanks...

“Calculator memories will not be cleared. Students are allowed to bring to the exam calculators containing whatever programs they want.” -Collegeboard

Yes, you are allowed to have programs on your calculator. While it may be helpful to save formulas, its doesn’t substitute studying. They let you use programs because they don’t believe it will give you that big of an advantage. Also, remember that half the exam is no calculator.

So that means I can play games when I finished on the sections with calculator?

@pretzel729 I guess…
But you should look over your questions or relax if you finish early… That’s kind of wasting your time.

I don’t need to look over it since I already got a 5 BC last year self study. Taking the AB class this year so school is making me take it. Good luck to all!

Thanks a ton!

@pretzel729‌ wait what? you took AB after BC? why would you ever do that :open_mouth: thats a waste of time and money

@guineagirl96‌ my district forces students to take the AP tests they have classes for, but they pay for.
I selfstudied BC while in precal and the following year they put me in AB.
Can’t plain about a class where I can sleep all year and make a free 5.

@pretzel729‌ my school does the same thing for the tests, so ok no wasted money. But if you take the BC exam while in precalc and pass with a 4 or 5, you move up to multi the next year. You’re right no reason to complain about an easy class :stuck_out_tongue: but i still think its stupid

District doesn’t offer multi variable sadly. Buy even if they did I still would be forced to take AB since I don’t have he highschool credit for it.
