I'm allowed to eat in my science class (oddly enough, considering its a lab), and I can eat literally anything there. I brought nachos with hot/melted cheese once, and a girl brought lasagna the other day - but I can only have water in all of my other classes.

I actually buy food with the intention of eating it in science because it makes class a lot more fun. Food. I like food.

Technically you’re not supposed to eat outside of the cafeteria, but most people do anyway. Some teachers are really strict about the no eating policy; others couldn’t care less. This is the same for phones (not allowed during the school day period), although more teachers are strict about them than not.

My first class is way early in the morning (6:30) so I eat breakfast in there every day. In my first hour we’re allowed to chew gum, I’ve never attempted to eat in there. We’re allowed to eat in my math and French class too. My French class is right after lunch so people are always bringing burritos, in-n-out, gelato, etc. Generally all of my classes I’m allowed to eat in I can have my phone in plain sight and the teacher won’t care.

Constitutional Law - generally not allowed but he’s lenient with my class since it’s first block. As long as you don’t make a mess or eat loudly you’ll be okay.

AP Physics - you are allowed to eat if you have a college degree or military service. So essentially, no eating but this teacher is really arbitrary with rule enforcement. I’m one of his favorites so I can get away with anything, including eating.

Spanish - I was eating fruit snacks one day and got in trouble because they could stick to the carpet if I dropped one. Later that same class, she passed put lollipops to everyone. So I’m not entirely sure of the rules lol

AP Stats - this teacher doesn’t really care. But it’s right after lunch so nobody really does

AP Lit - She brought us cupcakes first day of school… So I’m assuming it’s allowed.

Accounting - not allowed. Pretty much a zero tolerance policy. Not even water os allowed, you must stand in hallway to drink out of your water bottle.

Biotech - see stats

TA - see AP Physics

Seminar - I never show up. No idea what the rules are.

My school is pretty lenient with food - I can eat in all of my classes, including AP Bio.
The only exception to that rule is fast food in my German class. Apparently, my teacher can smell the grease, and if he even sees a McDonald’s bag, he’ll make you step outside and stay there until it’s entirely disposed of.

Technically no. But in reality, yes. I only have one teacher who cares if we eat, and she’s only my second to care in high school. The other one was the teacher I had right after lunch, which I understand.

I take classes at a cc and most of the classes are taken at night. My profs have always let us eat and drink in class as long as we didn’t make messes and kept our area clean.

My French teacher wouldn’t let me drink water last year. I could’ve asked for a pass to the water fountains but they were disgusting (strands of hair, gum etc).
