Is it a single?

Yes indeed. They won’t put me with a roommate because I have a guide dog.

Twittermouse, how has your dorm situation been working out for you? Are you getting along with the freshmen on your floor 0K?

Yeah, it’s not bad. I don’t see many of them to be honest. I actually have been hanging out with the freshman from my old building and they’re really cool. One is teaching me to spin wool and knit.
I had a problem with some of the RA’s around this building, but I’ve spoken to them about it and we’re cool now.
All in all it’s going very well I think.

Excellent. Not as bad as you anticipated.

Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I tend to freak out about anything new, so most things aren’t as bad I think they’ll be :P

Nope. I had to get reassigned over the summer because I have arthritis in my knees and my original dorm doesn’t have elevators. My roommate + hallmates from last year were on that hall with me and I ended up in a dorm where people sign up in groups, so they all know each other and I’m just off on my own in a single. It gets lonely sometimes but I spend most of my time in my friends’ dorms so it’s not that bad. And me and my old friends actually kinda drifted this summer due to lack of proximity so maybe that’s a good thing in it’s own way.

I’m not close with those in my entryway, but I do sit with them to eat - if I ever happen to be in the dining hall at the same time, anyway.

And we do party together (again, sometimes). Boy, do we love to party.
