Are you going to vote?

I was going to, but my absentee ballot didn't get here in time. :( I blame the clerk's office for messing up my address when they sent me my application. :(

I'm kind of upset about it. My one consolation is that I really don't like any of the candidates for the major elections, so voting would have only been choosing the lesser of two evils anyway.

I was really disappointed, however, when I heard about a recent poll done at my university that said that only 40% of students were planning on voting. A few people even asked "What election?" when they were polled.

So I'm wondering, how many of you are planning on voting? How are you voting (absentee ballot, or are you registered in your college's town)? How much research did you put into your decisions?

Nope, all Chicago and Illinois politicians are corrupt anyway it doesn’t matter who is in charge.

I’m in Illinois, and I know exactly what you mean. The lies and corruption are part of the reason I don’t like most of the candidates.

Unfortunately, it seems like in Illinois, it’s almost always choosing the lesser of two evils. Even so, I still wanted to vote. Better to have the less corrupt politician in charge if possible…

No, because I hate both of the governor choices and I haven’t really paid attention to the propositions.

I’m in California, by the way.

I have an absentee ballot I never sent in. Whoops.

I already voted, I sent my absentee ballot a couple of weeks ago. This is a really important election, so I hope people will vote.
