I just got my 1st quarter grades and I have
B+ PIB(honors) English
B+ PE/Driver's Ed (1 stupid test)
A PIB Chemistry
A+ PIB Algebra 2
B AP World
B+ PIB Spanish 4...(gasp, surprise, i've always had an A in spanish)
A AP Government

Do colleges take note of your schools grading chart, because in my school a B+ is specifically a 89.5-93.4 and an A is 93.5 and above, a B is a 84.5-89.4
For all my B+'s i have atleast a 91...is that equivalent to an A-? Would colleges change all the B+'s to an A-?

vicky, if you're not satisfied with your grades because you think you can do better than say so but dont call them horrible because that is extremely insulting to people who a.) have similar grades or b.) only wish they could have those grades. it's kind of inconsiderate of you.

vicky, do you live in Fairfax County, b/c my grading scale is like yours. A copy of the grading scale will be sent to colleges with your transcript, so don't worry too much about your Bs. Also, colleges dont even see quarter grades, so just work on pulling them up this quarter!

Your grades are awful. You're rejection at every college. Prepare for army, soldier.

PS. ChaosTheory, what is that word? My Anglo-Russian vocabulary fails to find such.
PPS. Thanks CT for filling my vocab with new words all the time.

No, your counselor doesn't need to mention it, every school sends their grading system, etc. to the colleges. The colleges would probably just re arrange your grades so 90+ is an A.

ya im failing two classes and getting 3 c's and only 2 a's....your doing horrible...

Yes im smart, yes i want to go to an elite college, and hell yes im lazy.
And you bet your ass im gonna work super hard this second quarter and pull of a 4.0
