OMG!!! You can't make B's. No college is going to accept you now!

Seriously, I'm tired of these threads where people think that even an A - or a B is bad. You're not going to die.

It's funny because this is the first thread I've seen like this. And I've been on here for over a year.

Actually you combined the word in a wrong fashion, it would be vomitarocious because it would be a combination vomitare and atrox.

How easy is it to get 80's in US and A? Here it's considered the standard of excellence.

uh....whoever told you your grades were horrible should be shot. Seriously. And if it's only you telling yourself that...GET A GRIP! Damn.

B+ grades are easily raised, and I guess these will then meet your standards of 'acceptable'.
Actually, a bad grade is anything below a C (C-, D+, D, D-, F).
C, C+, B-, B are reasonable/good grades, and B+, A-, A, A+ are excellent, in normal standards.

shravas, look at threads more closely. There are quite a few people who complain about getting B's. Here a few I’ve seen in the past month:

Ok, ok, i see ur point but there is this one very annoying girl in my class who actually CRIED when she got a 97 on a chem test? Her grade in chem is a 99.9 A+ and i m not even joking. she bugs the teachers everyday and whines when she has low A's (94-95). I get F's,slack of once in a while, thats why I barely have A's but ppl expect me to be this perfect-straight A student who would be the first one in years to get into an ivy-league college.
Please dont sterotype me into the classic CC student that i m not. Its just when u see the above posts, and the like, it makes you feel like you should be doing more to be the best and then when u dont have those perfect grades, u start feeling like crap.

I'm sorry if i've offended anyone, i really dont think my grades are horrible, or vomitrocious.

If you are East or South Asian then getting a 97 in some families is percieved as a major problem and can result in rather nasty punitive punishments.
