So I paid and sumbitted my supplement before sumbitting the actual common application… stupid yes I know… anyways I only put down one teacher for whose giving you recs question because I only knew one teacher at that point… and now the common app won’t let me submit it because I haven’t filled in that second teacher… but obviously… I cant add a second teacher now… any advice… not soo frustrated yesterday.
My mom recommened printing out a copy of my common app and the emails acknowledging the recipet of the suplement and payment and just mailing it to Brown… but I just don’t know what to do, was close to tears yesterday…

You're supposed to send your supplement before the Common App, aren't you?

I'm not sure I understand the teacher problem. It won't let you send the Common App because you didn't fill out the 2nd teacher on it? Have you already submitted the Common App? If you haven't, I don't see why you can't just fill it out now; they won't reject you because you didn't have Teacher 2 on the supplement. Just write a note in the Additional Info section and put Teacher 2 on your App.

Everything will be fine. The AC is really understanding, so please don't worry!

I have noo idea which one your supposed to send first, I always thought it didn't matter.

Um what happened was you know in the Brown Application how you are supposed to note the last names of the two teachers that are giving you a rec and the subjects that they teach? Well I wasn't sure if the second one so I put down one only and now the common app comes up with this when i try to submit it:

Brown University Please identify the teacher(s) who will be completing the Common Application Teacher Evaluation on your behalf for this institution.

Contact the Common App help center?

It means you have to enter two teachers' names in the School Forms section of the Common App, NOT in the Brown Supplement.

This is what it said in the supplement: "Please record the last names and subjects of the teachers to whom you will give Teacher Evaluations 1 and 2. If you are unsure of your choice(s) now, don't delay submitting the Supplement; just omit the question, and make a note for your records."

Actually, what pFNMCp said makes sense. My school forms were offline because they were sent by mail, so I personally don't know. That seems likely to be the case though.

And the Supplement IS supposed to be sent before the actual Common App--for Brown at least, not for most other schools.

Click on the left side, where it says "School forms". Invite the teachers to the common app, and, when you have, choose them down at the bottom in the drop down boxes to be recommendations.

yeah that worked! thanks tons! I didn't even see that... stupid me
