Hi

Anyone applying to Columbia and looking to do Army ROTC, perhaps on a full ROTC scholarship?

There is no ROTC in Columbia, sorry.

While there is not ROTC at Columbia, it is possible for Columbia students to participate in ROTC by attending sessions at other colleges in New York City. I have a friend who has an AFROTC scholarship and goes to some other college (not sure which) every Friday.

im pretty sure fordham has some sort of rotc or perhaps nyu

laziness is not a virtue, straight from columbia’s faq -

Does Columbia have ROTC?

Columbia welcomes students who have received ROTC scholarships. Since Columbia does not offer ROTC courses on its campus, students with Army ROTC scholarships may enroll in ROTC courses at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice or Fordham University. Students with Air Force ROTC scholarships may enroll in ROTC courses at Manhattan College, and students with Navy ROTC scholarships may enroll in ROTC courses at the State University of New York- Maritime. Students receive transcripts from these institutions which certify the completion of their ROTC participation.

*to the OP - apply to AROTC, if you are admitted to Columbia, they will accept the scholarship and you will then take courses at a nearby army rotc (both are located a subway’s ride away).
