I know CMC has no art department (visual arts), but does anyone know how accessible art classes at the other 5C schools are to CMC students? Or if there are ways to be involved through extracurriculars? I did EDII to CMC, and just got an EA acceptance from an art school that's making me kinda sad that I won't have that much access to art classes at CMC if I get in (it's still my top choice, though - lack of art isn't a dealbreaker) so I'm wondering how other CMC artists make do?

Scripps has the incredible art program, and Pomona has theater and art. Cross-registration is easy, so you could get involved with their classes right away. Consider applying to Scripps if art is your true interest (and you are a female). CMC cares more about sports ability than arts ability.

If CMC’s vibe fits you, then finding opportunities to “do art” shouldn’t be a problem. Every once in a while CMC graduates an art major, or dual major, and a modest number of CMC alums are in arts careers (though most often on the business side of the entertainment industry). The world-renowned photography curator at the Getty (now retired) was a CMC alum.
