Hi,
Would it look better to take an art class sophomore, junior and senior year of high school or just take art lessons from someone on my own time? or would it matter? Thanks!

I'm not going to major in art... I like art and think it's fun though. I just don't know if I'll be able to take it my junior and senior year--scheduling problems....

both. :-/ if you're going to major in art, obviously.

my brother's going to major in product design at ACCD in Pasedena. he's doing hardcore art classes (i didnt even know there were IB art) and thinking of getting an art tutor, etc.

what matters most is your portfolio...that will show everything you've done in your hs year.

If you can fit Art into your schedule, I speak from experience when I say that it is a great class--a nice change of pace from all other classes. I had at least a semester of art every year of high school, and loved every minute of it. Heck, I'm going to be an engineering major and I can say AP art studio (junior and senior year--I never sent in a port, though, which took off a lot of pressure) was one of the top three courses I took in high school (with AP Lang an Comp and AP Physics being the other ones).
