Art Supplement?

I am applying to Brown and I have read that you can send an art supplement. However, I cannot find this on the commmon application. I am submitting an art supplement to Yale through the common app, but I am having a difficult time finding out how to send it to Brown. Have I been misguided into thinking Brown accepts art supplements?

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated!

It’s a little tricky to find on the brown website. What I essentially did was just mail it into Brown, and my Account says they recieved it… so your best bet is to actually mail it in since there is no section on the common app or supp to put it on

Hi Emma,

I think it would work best if you just mail it into the Admissions office. That’s what I remember doing.

Look here:

[Brown Admission: About the Application](<a href=“Undergraduate Admission | Brown University”>Undergraduate Admission | Brown University)

It doesn’t say how to submit it, but mailing it to admissions is the right approach.

Yep, my son just sent his last Saturday. You mail directly to Admissions (not the art dept.). The crazy part is that you an either submit slides OR prints of work. Slides?! Who uses slides anymore?! Anyway, you have to include a sheet about the pieces you are sending. For example, my son sent ten 8 X 12 photographs and included his own “cover sheet” which gave titles, size, medium, (and award if applicable). All the info. is on their website. When you do mail it, make sure to buy the post offices “confirmation” for it (you can check on the post office website tracking system). Also, everything fit nicely into one of those Priority Mailing envelopes and it’s only $5.60 with the confirmation cost added in. It just gives you a peace of mind to know it’s there in the admissions office :).
