So, like the rest of you, I'm freaking out over the results coming in a few days.
What I wanted to know is how much an art supplement can help your application?

I'd like to think that I had pretty strong academics/ECs, but I felt that I should send in a tape of some of my piano performance skills.
To what extent could this assist my chances?

I think someone mentioned in a previous thread (sorry for the lack of source) that they only really look at art or research supplements closely if they are already impressed with the rest of the application. Then, they send it to the respective department for them to check out. And since decisions have pretty much been made by now, I don’t think sending in one more thing in the last few days will help so much. Don’t worry and be confident in the rest of your app! But I don’t know, that’s just my opinion.

I sent in my published book of poetry, explicitly aimed at making poetry simple, understandable and relatable, instead of convoluted and academic. Do you think it’ll still be sent to some department? Given I’m not into the whole iambic pentameter/spondaic hexameter/anapestic tetrameter etc. thinking it would be ripped to shreds by anybody who happens to be an expert in the field, given its apparently simple nature. Stessin. ;__;
