Anyone here going for the Arts and Sciences College? Heard aboot Knight Institute for Writing or Jazz at Cornell? Lookin' for some people applying to cornell for those kinda things...wanna make sure it's got strong enough programs...because otherwise I think Cornell OWNS!

i'm in arts and sciences, never heard of knight program....sparticus would know about jazz i think

How do I talk to sparticus?

sparticus where you at???? jk his sn is sparticus800

thanks wonders how sparticus could be alive, being an ancient roman and all

Wow, sparty is famous. :)

actually that was spartacus...i'm the brainchild of a stupid 7th graded who doesn't know how to spell...

you got my answer in the PM madman...

same for me

Is the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell rolling too? Sorry. I do not know too much :-/

Its not rollin'

ILR CALS and HE i think...

correction: CALS, Hotel, ILR

This has no relevance to me whatsoever, but how exactly does rolling admissions work? How does Cornell make a decision about any individual before they check out the entire applicant pool?? (Randomness from me.. :p lol)

Same theory as ED/EA, probably. I guess it lightens the load.

shrug thats the value of applying early, i guess. Like the UCs

can someone explain the concept of "rolling" admissions to me

notification is at random times. When I applied to rutgers rolling, (on the deadline actually), I got my acceptance to their CAS, Honors Program, Engineering College, and Music School (pending audition) in 6 days. My friend applied a month before the deadline and didn't get her acceptance for more than 2 months.

In other words, theres no specific date when they mail out decisions, only a deadline for your application.

oh i see but does applying early give you an advantage in the admissions process?

in theory, the sooner you send it, the earlier they read it, therefore the more likely you'll get accepted. i think..
