This forum again proves itself invaluable in getting the best info first!

Has anyone called the NFAA office? Link could have been accidentally disabled if someone were working on updating the website.....

Ooops, hit submit before I was finished! Congrats to all who were fortunate enough to get results yesterday; fingers and toes crossed for all still waiting to hear!

My friend just got Finalist in Musical Theater.

Im so proud of her!

Wow, that is a terrific accomplishment. Good for her.

Wish her good luck in Miami!

xxx,Mary Anna

Wait..so there was a link to see if you won and I missed it? ARGH..so frustrating..
Have the winners/honorable mentions actually received letters yet or did you all see it online?
Can't stand waiting : / (I entered in poetry)

Today I got a letter...Honorable Mention and a check for $250 coming in June : ) Yay! My friend from governor's school is a finalist in fiction...I'm sooo happy for her and just a tad jealous, hehe.

Er...I just realized this thread is in the "Musical Theater" forum (I found it by doing a search for NFAA)...soo..maybe I should shut up since I just write poetry : )

Letter received: D got Hon Mention Non-Fic, very nice!

Commendations to all for putting in the significant effort to enter ARTS,
congrats to winners of all levels,
and hope more winning notifications posted on CC!

Does anyone know how many entrants there were in each category (this year, or if that isn't know, previous years)?

Hello everyone,

D received a letter today. She received a Merit Award in the classical section. She is very happy. She has also done very well in local competitions. This gives her a little boost of confidence as she continues with her college auditions. Good luck to everyone.

lexismom

Congrats all! Wonderful that even with just partial results in, so many CC'ers have done so well.

Meanwhile, I'm wishing I'd found this thread a few days ago so we could have checked results. I have the feeling that if D had made it, we would have received a letter at this point, but I'm wondering if anyone who got onto the NFAA site before the list was disabled happened to download the classical voice list? Thanks!

Sorry, not aware of any winner list posted online previously.
Postal delivery is subject to potential delays
so some notifications could still be en-route!

I'm confused. Where on the NFAA site did the people who received awards find out on the 22nd?

When I checked my D's results, you could only check for an individual result, using your NFAA number. There was no list posted of winners for this year at the time I checked. It should be up in a few days.

Thanks so much. I'm assuming that at that time you checked under the student section under status. (When we look there now, we just learn that D'd application is complete!) Are we looking in the wrong place? Again, thanks!

Post #56 on this thread gave the link; apparently it was working on the 22nd but disabled the next day. Maybe they had a technical glitch and webmaster gone for holiday weekend?

BiGismama, I suspect that the link I provided may have been a back door that they never intended to be opened. I was just blundering around the site and stumbled into it...when us CC folks started accessing the information, they probably slammed the back door shut!

Big Kudos to you mezzomom, you're my hero!

Thanks, mezzomom, for those awesome computer skills! (Glad I was one of those lucky enough to see your link in time)

I think we should send her somewhere else fun. Who wants to know something else that we aren't supposed to know? (and before someone yells about this post, it is a joke)
