I want to submit an art portfolio when I apply this fall, but I'm not sure if my art is 'varied' enough. The Visual Arts section on the form from Williams' admission page asks for samples of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, etc. I've only done sketches and drawings of still life and reference pictures, using charcoal pencils. I've tried painting and sculpture, but color doesn't seem to work for me as well as black/white/gray, and the two sculptures I made for art class in middle school were sad piles of clay :)
Also, it mentions including a resume that lists honors, experience...drawing is more of a hobby for me, something I can do to relax. I've never submitted my drawings to any contests or won awards for them--I know I'm good, but I'm kind of shy about my art.
Would this lower my chances of getting a decent evaluation?

If you’re proud of your work and you think it enhances your profile, by all means submit the arts portfolio. I am sure it can’t hurt your candidacy. Don’t submit slides of the sculptures if they are not your best work.
