Arts Supplement: I'm a model?

Is it too conceited of me to upload my modeling portfolio?

I am also a hobbiest photographer, but it is nothing sincerely special. I take really artsy photos of myself and things because it is a creative release.

I also have a super nerdy song on youtube with me playing the ukulele and singing about math at a math camp talent show (I feel like that shows who I am, but I am not a really good singer [but it also is not out of tune “cringy” singing]).

I am a really creative person, but I have not expressed it enough in my major-focused essays. I reaallly want to avoid coming off as arrogant or anything negative.

It is up to you to paint the picture you want admissions to see in your application including your essays etc. Supplemental materials are not sent often and if they are they should be of extremely high quality and show something about a talent that is not elsewhere in your application.

I would not submit your modeling portfolio but if you were paid for your work you definitely should include your modeling work in your application as a part-time job. And I would not send the youtube song it – it sounds amateurish and would be more of a negative than a positive IMO.

But in the end it is your application and your decision.

Thanks! I was paid for modeling (so I will take your advice and just list it as a job), and I will leave the youtube comedy as it should be: youtube comedy. @happy1

My daughter is also a model and she entered this as her job.
