Arts Supplements.. and ACCEPTED?!

Hello!

If there has already been another post like this, could someone copy and paste the link? If not, I was wondering if anyone who was accepted into Stanford this last year could post some of their stats, what arts supplement ( music, dance, etc) with any awards, and the decision. This is just for me to get an idea!

Thanks alot:)

Wugga, my S, who is in the class of '13, did submit a performing arts video supplement, as well as a fine arts resume. I believe it had a positive effect on his admission, from something the rep said when S was deciding whether to attend Stanford. Stanford president Hennessy said this at their opening convocation in September: "“Over 100 of you have been evaluated by our faculty as exceptionally talented in the Arts, Drama and Music.”

P.S. - I realize my post did not have any specifics to help you, but I think it would be difficult to compare yourself with other applicants in terms of artistic ability within this forum. I think the admission reps are probably less interested in awards than in passion and in the talent demonstrated by your supplement. Take heart in knowing that talent in the arts is something Stanford is actively seeking in a portion of its entering class.

Oh okay! Thank you so much mamae:)

Any other opinions?

BTW, here is a short ad about the arts that ran during a recent televised Stanford football game: [YouTube - The Role of Creativity at Stanford](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6r2odXU9sa8&feature=video_response)
