Hi,

I am going to Fordham this fall,

I am just wondering when I setup my schedule/pick what classes I am going to take.

I applied undecided and I really have no idea what kind of classes I am going to take. When do I start picking and setting up classes?

Do some reading on the Fordham threads here on CC and you will see this has been asked and answered more times than I care to mention.

Are you Rose Hill or Lincoln Center?

Welcome to Fordham!

If you’re at RH, Jesuits somewhere will pray for God to guide you well and a dove will bear your immaculate schedule down from the heavens. If you’re at LC, you climb to the top of Lowenstein and yell up to God what classes you want before he sends down the aforementioned dove.

[In so many words, RH students are given few choices–their first-semester schedules are chosen by a computer or a really efficient human based on course availability/major/etc.–and LC students have to participate in building their schedules. Last year that participation was by phone, I think, although I’m not entirely sure.]

I started the pre-college summer as a philosophy major and finished it as physics/pre-med, so there’s obviously some opportunity for switching classes around. This switching can be done up until about a week after classes start, too.
