As a junior, am I on the right track?

GPA (un-weighted): 97
~Current course load consists of AP Physics B, Honors Pre-Calc, AP Human Geography, AP US History, AP Language and Comp, a lower level Spanish class and chorus
~Studied Russian from the 4th- 8th grade then moved to a different school district and am now studying Spanish, hope to study both in college</p>

~Speech and Debate, nationally ranked extemporaneous speaker, President of my team
~Women's Choir
~Half Tones mixed Choir
~Piano
~Tri-M Music Honor Society
~Made All-County every year since the 7th grade
~Church Choir

~Asian club (I'm not Asian, it's just a fun club)</p>

<p>Volunteer work:
~Started a UNICEF backed fundraising campaign called "Suitless for Students" and raised (and currently raising) money for education in developing nations
~ Have taught Sunday School in my church since the 9th grade
~Worked at my church's Vacation Bible School teaching music this summer</p>

<p>Summer Activities:
~'09 Played Chava in a regional Musical Theater Company's production of Fiddler on the Roof
~ '10 Played Shelby in a regional Drama Repertory Company's production of Steel Magnolias
~ '11 Interned at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City and did research on Supra national financial institutions and their responses to post WWII global economic issues
~'11 Also interned with a Non Governmental Organization, The Temple of Understanding and worked to promote religious tolerance</p>

<p>I'm a semi-finalist for the NSLI-Y Russia abroad program this summer, so I'm hoping to study in Russia and brush up on my language skills there</p>

<p>Are you going to take the SAT I? You might want to try it. Try to get some volunteer work that is not church or theatre related, such as at a hospital or hospice. Just make sure you keep it up for a few months consistently. Otherwise I think you’re looking pretty good!</p>

<p>Well I somehow missed the UNICEF work, but nonetheless volunteer work could be a weak spot.</p>

<p>I think I’m going to retake the ACT to try to bring up my math score after I finish my pre-calc course. I didn’t do so well on the PSAT. </p>

<p>You’re certainly on the right track with solid academics. Lol, I love how you’re in asian club even though you’re not asian. But it seems like you have done well in speech as well as music, and have done a lot during your summer months (with the IR experience and pursuit of your musical talents). And I think Spanish heritage may even count as a hook despite it not being the same as Latino/Hispanic. In summary, keep doing well and you should be in line for one of your top choices.</p>
