as a pre-med, can i use calc 2 and 3 for the math prerequisite?

or do i need to take calc 1 at WashU, even though i got approved for calc 2
(incoming freshman)

prerequisite for what?

@texaspg for med school

The medical schools that require calculus require that you take real calculus class and not a watered down version for business or some other majors. However, if your college allows you to keep your AP credit, then you might be able to show one year of Math by taking a higher level Calculus class.

@ee1025, to actually answer your question, your plan is totally fine.

No reason to take Calc 1 if you tested out of it and are planning on taking 2 & 3 anyway.

Unless you actually want to take calc 3, you don’t need it for med school. Calc 2 and stats will be enough. Assuming you got AP credit for calc 1.
