As an international student, what dorm should i choose?

Hi! I'm a norwegian student(girl) who will most likeley be attending the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities next Fall as a international transfer student. I like to have a good time and be social, but i also appriciate some peace and quiet when studying.

I am mainly interested in the urban planning courses, but i can't seem to find any information about where the classes for these take place?

Does anyone have any info about suitable dorms for me(hopefully close to classes)? Are there special dorms/flors for international students or can we apply to any doorm? What dorm is in your opinion the best dorms in generall?

Thanks! :)

Urban Studies courses will probably be on West Bank (HHH or Anderson/Blegen/etc.) but you will get used to walking all over campus so being close by probably isn’t that important.

There might be an international community in one of the dorms…I don’t remember. But there are international students in all of them. Go for whatever feels right to you.

Welcome to the UofM and the USA! :)
