As soon as you get your decision ...

As soon as you get your ED decisions in the mail, please post how it went, what the envelope looked like, and what state you live in. I suppose you New Englanders will find out before Minnesotans like me...

and it'll take even longer for Californians....

Yep... Won't it be annoying when others start finding out but you have to wait longer?

yep, but it will be nice to hear when the postmark is!

Hey, I've been lurking here for a few days. I applied to Williams ED, and I'm thinking I should get my letter two days or so after it's mailed, as I am out in eastern Mass. I'll be home at 2:00 on Thursday and Friday to check the mail, and I will post here when I find out.

Thanks Andy! By the way, good luck to you with ED!

No problem. I look forward to getting some sort of letter... Good luck to you all as well.

By the way, you seem to have some idea what's going on, Leonesa. Any idea when these things should have been mailed out? If it takes two days from Williamstown to here, do you think it might come tomorrow?

According to an article on williamsrecord.com, the letters may have been mailed out TODAY (Wednesday). There has been no absolute confirmation as far as I know (I'm considering calling to see if they'll tell me), but it seems as though the letters will be mailed out soon or already were.

We shall see! I'll look forward to your post. GOOD LUCK, as always!

Just thought I'd let you guys know that I found this:

http://postcalc.usps.gov/

You can calculate the time it takes for a standard letter to go from Williamstown, MA (01267) to wherever you are. It says two days for me. So if they went out today, then I should hear Friday. Here's hoping they went out on Tuesday...

Yea, I'm obsessing.

andyG do u mind posting ur stats?

is it first class or priority?

i imagine first class, but that's just an assumption

Ooh, thanks for the link Andy. I heard someone say that college decisions are usually mailed priority mail (hopeman), but that is just what I "heard". If that is the case, then according to that site, it should take two days to get to rural Minnesota. How can it take just as long to get to you Andy as me? I suppose it could but that seems odd, especially since I'm out in the rural boonies. Hmm...We'll see.

Let's keep posting here guys. I somehow feel better talking to fellow potential classmates..hehe

And don't worry about obsessing Andy. I think just about everyone who goes on CC obsesses to a degree at times. :)

Let's hope the letters were mailed at least by today!

Who was it that had a brother that got in last year...he/she would know the answer to what type of mail decisions are sent through. I'll try to call tomorrow and see what they're willing to tell me.

Yes, I too am OBSESSING. I have tons of work to do right now but I just can't concentrate. I know Williams doesn't notify via email but I keep checking "just in case"!

My most sincere luck, once again, to all of you. Heck, maybe I'll see you all next year, but if not I certainly think you/we/I will all find another excellent college to go to...but let's not think about that, aye?

This brings new meaning to "so close and yet so far"!

that was my brother...no idea what kind of mail...sorry :(, i wish i knew

That's so cute armandoleon..."This brings new meaning to 'so close and yet so far'"

Hmmm... It would be kind of cool if we all were accepted and ended up getting to know each other in college.

Also good point armado... I think no matter where we all go we will be happy if we make ourselves happy. There are so many great schools out there!

lol.. that would be awesome... contradictory to my ID, I am filled with despair and anxiety hahaha

I was freaked out when I logged on to see 17 replies under this thread! Haha, I thought the decisions were out... sigh Do any of you know whether or not they email international students? It usually takes a week for mail to get to Thailand...

flufflooz:that's atleast better than mail to India...the ID they sent me took a month to reach me :(
