Oh. My. God. OH MY GOD. Ohhhh myyyy goooddddd. OHMIGOD.

So, like, get this. Today this really shy/introverted/reticent nerd (also asian) comes up to me, right? And like, don't get me wrong, I'm pretty popular and good-looking, so I get A LOT of fellas interested in me. Usually I just blow them off, but HE WAS SOO NERVOUS, I mean, it must have been a really nerve-racking experience for him. AND IDK, I think he thinks I like him, or something? Because I've talked to him before and I spare him a bit of my attention because he's just so pitiable.

Anyway, he asked me to winter formal, right? And I was being a bit evasive, but I didn't want to hurt him too badly, so I just told him something along the lines of "Haha you're not so bad yourself ... I'd really like to go with you too!" BUT THAT DIDN'T MEAN I INTENDED TO GO WITH HIM!! BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!! OMG. It was an "I'd really like to... but no, sorry." Now he probably has his hopes up, and he's probably bragging about it on some creepy forum. HOW DO I BREAK THE NEWS TO HIM WITHOUT CRUSHING HIS HOPES AND DREAMS?!?!

There's really nothing you can do at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if the poor sucker already sees himself marrying you. Just tell him the truth. Oh, and hit me up on AIM if you wanna do a bit of cybering... I've always had a thing for the orientals ; )

Seriously, I read the other thread first, and when I reached "I'd really like to... but no, sorry" I just burst out laughing as realization of the joke hit me.
